About the event

Kids Innovative, in partnership with PoMoArts, are happy to offer the micro:bit Beginners Camp! This camp is a perfect way to get started on software and hardware technology. The micro:bit chip is a mini computer chip that can perform a number of tasks once programmed. The digital future will be in the hands of students where the device can be programmed for future use. This unique camp uses a combination of interactive and student curated recordings to make learning complex concepts and advanced programming skills fun! Coding experience not necessary! Students in this camp can expect to:

  • Learn the basics of computer science concepts
  • Build a game using sprites, sounds and backgrounds
  • Play a game to review learnings and present their projects.

A laptop computer is required for this camp. Students may bring their own from home our use one provided by the instructor. Please contact our Customer Service staff at 604-931-2008 to arrange for a laptop if needed.
